Questions, answered

The honest answers to what people ask before booking a drone capture of their property.

Before you book

Is this legal? Can you fly over my property?

Yes. Every paid flight is flown by an FAA Part 107–certified Remote Pilot in Command, under FAA rules and any required airspace authorization. The pre-flight safety gate won't let a job launch without a current Part 107 pilot, acceptable weather, and a signed release — so a non-compliant flight can't happen.

What about my neighbors' privacy?

We capture your property. Before each flight the pilot marks exclusion / no-fly zones — neighboring homes and sensitive areas — and the flight plan respects them. Your imagery is private by default; nothing is shared or published unless you choose public release.

What do I actually get?

A branded deliverable: high-resolution aerial photos, a signature cinema clip, and a PDF report with AI-assisted findings (plus thermal findings if your package includes the thermal scout). Everything lives in your private customer portal.

Why a drone instead of climbing the roof myself?

A drone captures the whole roof and envelope safely from above — no ladders, no walking a fragile roof — and a thermal pass can reveal moisture and heat-loss the eye can't see. We complement, not replace, a licensed home inspector where one is required.

Booking, payment & scheduling

When do I pay?

In advance, at booking. There's no on-site payment step.

How long does an appointment take?

Most residential captures fit a one-hour appointment window, depending on property size and weather.

What if the weather is unsafe?

We reschedule rather than force a bad or unsafe flight — captures are weather-gated, not pushed through.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Yes. Cancel before the flight and a succeeded payment is refunded and the job released, per the cancellation policy in our Terms.

After the flight

When do I get the report?

The target delivery window is within four hours after a completed flight; you're notified when it's ready in your portal.

Do I have to make my reel public?

No. Private release is the default; public release is optional and discounted in exchange for advertising rights — your choice, clearly stated.

Can I have it re-inspected later?

Yes. Annual and recurring plans re-capture on a cadence and track changes year over year.

Trust & data

How is my data handled?

Your account and property details are encrypted at rest, every access to your data is recorded in an audit trail, and you can request your access log. We never sell your information.
